Fatal shooting at Adams County house party under investigation, sheriff says

A man was killed Sunday in an early morning shooting at a house party in Adams County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Adams County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a house party just after midnight Sunday morning, according to a statement from the department on social media.

When deputies arrived in the 7600 block of Gilpin Street, they found a man who had been shot lying in the street outside of the party, sheriff’s officials said.

He was declared dead on scene and will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office, sheriff’s officials said.

One suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested at about 10 a.m. Sunday in connection with the shooting.
