Stewart Bliss OBITUARY

Stewart A. Bliss passed away on May 31, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Shirley, his daughter Rebecca, and his daughter Amy and son-in-law Marco.

Stewart graduated from the Capitol Page School in Washington, D.C., attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and obtained degrees from Auburn University and the Colorado College.

From 1957 to 1960, Stewart worked for Sandia Corporation in New Mexico, and in 1961, he joined Kaman Corporation. After 25 years, he retired from the position of executive vice president.

Stewart served as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Colorado from 1987 to 1993. After leaving state government, he served on numerous boards, including as President of the Colorado State Board of Agriculture (the governing board of CSU, USC, and Ft. Lewis College), and the Board of Directors of Colorado School of Mines.
