A man was killed in a stabbing at a Brighton home on Thursday afternoon, police officials said.
Brighton Police Department officers responded to a call about an unconscious man at a home in the 3000 block of East Bridge Street about 5 p.m. and found a 34-year-old man with stab wounds, the agency said in a news release Friday.
The man was taken to Platte Valley Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Investigators believe the man and the person suspected of stabbing him knew each other and that the suspect fled the scene. It appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community, officials said.
The man’s identity will be released by the Adams County coroner’s office.
