A man in a wheelchair was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday, according to the Arvada Police Department.
The man was heading north in his wheelchair in the southbound lanes of Wadsworth Boulevard near West 53rd Avenue about 1:52 a.m. when he was hit by a pickup.
A passing driver stopped to help the man, who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Investigators identified the truck through nearby security cameras and license plate readers and found the truck. Police are still working to identify a suspect in the case.
