A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with another vehicle on eastbound U.S. 36 in Broomfield on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Broomfield Police Department.

The crash was reported just before 4 p.m. and closed the eastbound highway for more than two hours.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital for evaluation, Broomfield police said Thursday. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The name of the motorcyclist will be released by the Adams and Broomfield County Coroner’s Office.
